Challenge 9 : My favorites!
This week we have to blog about our favorites, so I’m going to talk about my favourite things.
First things first, food. My favorite food is chocolate. Out of 3 types of chocolate, I like dark chocolate but I like all of the food that has chocolate flavour: chocolate ice cream, Kit Kats, mousse and many other kinds

Yummy isn’t it
Secondly, my favourite things is books. My favourite book serie is Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It is a really funny book about life of a 13-year old kid who is stuck in high school with dumb morons and kids who are meaner and taller than him. He had a family of , with his brother, Rodrick, his mum, dad, his baby brother, Manny and him. Rodrick is, according to him, a stupid jerk. He has a band that usually practises in the basement and annoys him all the time. His parents always treat his brother Manny like a prince, he always got to wear pretty clothes. He had a best friend called Rowley who is pretty much childish and selfish.

My favourite cartoon EVER EVER is Spongebob Squarepants. I have watched it when I was only about 4 and it’s my childhood. My favourite character would be Patrick Star because he is dumb, he’s always hungry (like me) and always makes me laugh

My favourite things
Out of all of my favourite things I just couldn’t decide my 3 favourite. So I decided to do my 4 favourite things instead.
Chocolate: Chocolate would just have to be one of my favourite things, or food. There is only one type of chocolate that I really like, and that would have to be milk chocolate. Although I do like a variety of milk chocolate like: picnic, boost, cherry ripe, mars bars, chomp, flake and a few others.

Girl guides: On each Friday at 6:30pm I like to go and go to girl guides. I like going to guides because I gives me a chance to make new friends, set some goals and to get out and enjoy life outside. Girl guides is a worldwide organization where girls go out to meet with their unit to go camping, do charity work, earn badges and most importantly learn new things.

Bike riding: Bike riding is my number 1 favourite sport. I really enjoy bike riding because it gives me a chance to think about things, feel the nice fresh air against my body, while getting a healthy amount of exercise.

Animals: When I have a chance I absolutely love interacting with animals. If I’m at a fair or a farm out then I take the chance to interact with the animals. I have always loved animals because I like the way that their different. At home I own 3 amazing gineapigs and 2 little fish.

The challenges:
- Did you visit the actual challenge on the blog each week or did your teacher have a post on your class blog?
- Which challenges were the most useful?
- Which challenges were the most interesting?
- What would be some other topics you would like included in future challenges?
- Are more tutorial type challenges needed? eg how to make a link in your post

Bernadette’s Favorites
1. Art
I Love Art so much, that I could not survive without it
Art is my favorite subject because I was inspired by artists who are way older than me and also Japanese Manga or Anime. When I was younger, I wanted to improve to be like the older artists and maybe become an artist or animator but now I just like drawing from the bottom of my heart.
I created an art account few years ago to show my talent to other people and to express my feelings.
One of my artworks and my art account.
2.Basketball
Basketball is my favorite sport out of all the sports because I seem to enjoy hitting a basketball and running around the place, supporting my friends that play with me and winning a game.
Winning in a basketball game always helps me be positive about myself more physically and also helps me improve my teamwork skills.
3.Chocolate
Chocolate is one of my favorite flavor and food. Out of the three different types of Chocolate, I like Milk Chocolate the best because to me it’s like the balanced taste between white and dark chocolate and always taste best with ice cream or dessert to make a really yummy flavor.
These are my Three Favorite Things and I am happy about my way of being unique and I hope everyone is happy about theirs too.

Justin’s Family
Hi, my name is Justin. In my family there is my Dad – Kenny, my Mum –Lany, myself and my older sister, Pricillia. I call her “jiě jiě” instead; because it’s in our Chinese traditions to call older sisters this; as it’s not polite to call them by their names. My sister went to MLC and also finished her high school there . She now and goes to Macquarie University.
I live in a small single storey house on a block of land in Strathfield. Even with their limited English ability, my parents opened a small company many years ago. They believed that not being able to speak fluent English doesn’t make them less. They say good spirit, attitudes and accomplishment are what really matter and will define/determine a person; but being arrogant won’t get you anywhere, it’ll make you shallow. Currently they’re importing glass top dining & coffee tables, genuine Italian leather luxurious lounges with flip up headrests and movable seats from overseas and are also exporting MBM/bone meals, frozen beef such as ox tongue, liver and tails. My parents have exported thousands of used/refurbished monitors and systems in 40ft full load containers to overseas over the past years; they’re also sending new & reconditioned Laptops by air to overseas countries. They’re very passionate about their work. We’re not rich but we are happy .
My parents always remind me to be humble, kind, helpful and to do good to others. My parents told me sending unwanted computers and monitors to overseas will not only allow them to earn a little bit of money but will also allow them to do their bit for the environment and the country that has welcomed and accepted them with smile and great kindness. Exporting unwanted/old computer systems would save our environment which otherwise they would be dumped in landfills which may lead to dangerous chemical leaks such as lead, mercury and cadmium into the ground and then to the water that we drink.
Although my dad is busy, he always makes time to play with me. We play badminton and basketball together in our huge back yard. But lately he quickly gets tired (I think he’s getting old now, hihihik…). Sometimes the whole family swim together in our backyard pool where we often race and I always beat them, hehehehe … sometimes we also play Wii and PlayStation3 together, my mum is lousy at games but I really enjoy the time and laugh. When she is not overseas my mum likes to make Indonesian cakes like chocolate jelly pudding and Indonesian rainbow cup cakes (bolu kukus). They are my favourite ones! I help her mix and pour dough to paper moulds and steam them. We make heaps of bolu kukus and we give some to our next door neighbours (left and right) as they tell us that they love our food too. My neighbour is a very -very lovely Italian family of four, the other is a very friendly Chinese family with two boys. What could be better than to have great neighbours?! We are very lucky. We have wonderful people around us. We are thankful and count our blessings, everyday. Peace on earth!
This is a picture of really yummy Bolu Kukus.

My favourite things here in Australia!!!
Good morning and welcome to Clareg’s favourite things. In this post I will obviously tell you about my favourite things. There are lots of things around the world that I like but there is no doubt that this post will only be about my favourite things here in Australia.
First up I will be talking about my favourite foods. They would have to be pasta, pizza, mint choc-chip ice cream and my mum’s lemon cupcakes. Pasta: My favourite type of pasta would have to be Ravioli because I like how it is filled with the meat. Pizza: I like meat- lover’s pizza because I like how they put the meat, bacon and barbeque sauce on it. Mint choc- chip Ice cream: My all time favourite ice cream flavor would obviously have to be Mint choc- chip because I like how you can sometimes find big clumps of choc- chip in it. Lemon Cupcakes: I like my mum’s lemon cupcakes because they are the best cupcakes I have ever tasted.
Next I will be talking to you about my favourite drinks. They would have to be Sprite and Creaming Soda. Sprite: I like Sprite because I like the taste of it when it fizzes in your mouth. Creaming Soda: I love Creaming Soda because first up I like the colour and second of all I love the way it can fizz in your mouth and not lose taste.
In the next part of my post I will be talking to you about my favourite colours. My favourite colours are blue and red. My favourite colour is blue because I like swimming at the beach and blue is associated with the water, the sea and the oceans. Blue indicates purity and life just like water does. In addition blue symbolises peace, calm, stability, security, loyalty and cold. All in all I like the colour blue because it is a very beautiful and very gorgeous colour. My other favourite colour is red because it can symbolise many things such as: Blood and Love. I also like the colour red because it symbolises strong emotions. It symbolises excitement, energy, speed, strength, danger, passion, and aggression. To summarise I like the colour red because it is the colour of a fire that has been lit.
Finally I will be talking to you about my favourite book and my favourite book character from that book. My favourite book is Rangers Apprentice, the Ruins of Gorlan. This is part of the series which I called Rangers Apprentice, it was written by John Flanagan. I like this book because it is an adventurous book which involves Looking up to your friends for help and forgiving them. In the book there are two children called Horace and Will and they are always fighting but during an epic battle with a wild boar they have to eventually save each other. Also at the end of the book Will, who is the main character of this book, the Baron and Sir Rodney, who is the battle master, have to try and save Halt from the deadly Kalkara, who belong to Morgarath. My favourite character from the book is Will because he is an adventurous person who is small for his age but very fast. He also has the potential to become a ranger’s apprentice. He is apprenticed to Halt and during this book Halt and Will have to find the deadly Kalkara and defeat them.
Thank you for reading my post and I hope you enjoyed it, thank you and goodnight.

I love sport, my favourite types of sport would be Netball, Basketball, Athletics and Games. These sports are well known in my family and we all share the same ability and interest in all kinds of sport. Basketball is a worldwide sport and is often known for being played in America as NBA (National Basketball Association) and is also played in Australia as NBL (National Basketball League). I enjoy the following Sport Games; Dodgeball, Handball, Binball and European Handball.
2. Chocolate
Oh how could I leave Chocolate!! Well my favourite type of Chocolate is “Dark Chocolate” because I think Milk Chocolate is too sweet and White Chocolate tastes alot sweeter than Milk Chocolate. My best experience of eating Dark Chocolate was at a chocolate cafe. They had a Dark Chocolate Flower with edible paint that makes a vibrant rosey colour, it tasted delicious. Dark chocolate is distinguished by the amount of cocoa solids in the bar. My favourite brand of Chocolate is Cadbury Old Gold.
